The Big House Multibank
The Big House Multibank operates the Multibank in Scotland, located in Fife. It is committed to improving lives and building a more sustainable Scotland by reducing waste, maximizing resources, and fostering environmental and social benefits.
History and Impact
In August 2024, the warehouse operation split off from The Cottage Family Centre, which had launched and operated it for nearly three years. The Social Value Lab conducted research into its impact in August 2023. By then, it had distributed over 1 million surplus products from Amazon and around 30 other local and multinational businesses through 717 referral partners to vulnerable children and families.

The reasons families in need received goods include:

The impact of The Big House is significant for families and children. Faster access to critical relief, improved access to other support, reduced stress and anxiety, increased self-confidence, and improved family relationships are cited by three-quarters of the recipients.
