The Multibank announces new Chief Executive
The Multibank, set up by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Amazon, donates goods to families living in poverty in ways that provide practical support and promotes dignity. It connects companies which have surplus goods to the people who need them via local charity partners, reducing the effects of poverty and contributing to a sustainable economy.
Katharine’s focus and passion lie in social justice and social change. As Chief Executive of Become since 2019, she played a significant role in raising the issue of children’s social care up the agenda. Under her leadership, Become grew its reach and impact and was awarded Children's Charity of the Year in 2024.
Previously, Katharine was the first Chief Executive of Agenda, the alliance for women and girls. She was a member of the Ministerial Advisory Board on Female Offenders, and her campaigning led to the establishment of the Women’s Mental Health Taskforce, which she co-chaired with the health minister. Prior to Agenda, she built and led the policy and campaigns team at Crisis, successfully securing legislative and policy changes.
Katharine will take up her post as Chief Executive of The Multibank in August 2025.

With rising poverty across the UK, the support that The Multibank provides is more vital than ever for people struggling to afford even the essentials. I’m excited to work alongside our partners, supporters, and the local Multibanks to make a real, lasting difference in the lives of families experiencing poverty.
